To Whom It May Concern:
I recommend Bob Hoaglin of Signature Radon Solutions for installing radon mitigation systems.
His prices are very competitive. For our house, he submitted two proposals—one for an interior installation (more expensive) and one for an exterior installation (less expensive). His interior price was less than the competitor’s exterior price.
He was friendly, prompt, honest, satisfactorily answered all of my questions, completed the job quickly, and did not leave a mess.
He made sure that all of the EPA requirements were met. After installing the system, he measured the radon level and it went down to 0.9 pCi/L, well below the EPA threshold of 4 pCi/L. An independent test done a few days later showed an even lower 0.7 pCi/L.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
We are very pleased with the radon mitigation work done for us on our house by Signature Radon Solutions.
After contacting Bob Hoaglin, we received a prompt reply and a prompt visit which resulted in an estimate for radon mitigation work.
After we accepted the bid, the work was done in a timely manner on the agreed-upon day.
The work was done on time and in a very professional manner. The electrical work, duct work, and construction work were all high quality and finished in less than one day.
The post mitigation monitoring was appropriately done, and showed that our levels had fallen from 12 to 2.8 pCi/L.
We would certainly recommend Signature Radon Solutions for radon mitigation.

I spoke recently with Bob Hoaglin on the phone about a high radon level in my home. I found him to be both polite and knowledgeable. Expecting a significant wait, he informed me that he could come evaluate my situation that very day, when it was convenient for me, and provide me with a free estimate. Bob is personable and friendly, and one can tell right away that he has been doing this for a long time. He is also one of very few in the state of Utah to have the most comprehensive and official license. He provided me with an estimate which was actually below what I was expecting and educated me about the problem and various options for dealing with it.
Two days later he and his helper, Doug were on the job. He arrived when he said he would and the job only took about five or six hours. I trusted him in my home and was content with his service and demeanor. His work looked solid and he doesn’t skimp on parts or safety where others might. Everything looks like it is to state code. When the work was complete, he had me inspect everything with him and spent a lot of time answering my questions. He was very honest in his evaluation and predictions and things looked better than I expected they might have. Everything was very professional and no corners were cut for his own cost or time. The work is solid and I expect it to last a long time.
The bottom line is that my initial radon test showed a level of 4.0 and Bob brought it down to 1.0. I expect this level to decrease even further once I do some more minor sealing in the basement. I am happy with what I spent and confident in the person who did it. I would certainly request Bob’s services again and I recommend him whole-heartedly.

To Whom It May Concern:
It is with great pleasure that I recommend Bob Hoaglin of Signature Radon Solutions for the measuring and mitigation of Radon. We recently contracted with Bob to place a mitigation system in our home. Prior to the installation of the system the levels of Radon were very high and within hours of the installation the readings measured well below the EPA standards.
Bob and his staff are extremely easy to work with and pleasant to have in your home. The final bill was exactly what we had been quoted and the installation is very professional both in appearance and function. Any questions and concerns we had were answered or addressed with a high level of knowledge. Most importantly, we have a system in place that makes our home more safe and enjoyable for our family.
We highly recommend Hoaglin for installation of your radon reduction system.

We wanted to take a minute and thank you for the professional installation you did on the radon mitigation at our home. We were very apprehensive regarding the work that needed to be done. Even though our levels weren’t very much above EPA threshold we still felt we needed to have the work done. After receiving four other bids, we chose you because of the way you wanted to install the system and you were very patient with all the questions that we asked.
Once again thank you for your professional work, we are very pleased with the system. Please feel free to give our names out for reference on your work.
I did want to pass on that we are extremely pleased, not only with the results of the mitigation, but with the quality of the workmanship, timeliness of the mitigation efforts, and your professionalism during both the inspection and mitigation activities. Your work was thorough, efficient and exceeded our (admittedly) high expectations.
Thanks again, we’re delighted customers and will take opportunities as available to recommend your services to others,
We wanted to thank you for the successful radon mitigation accomplished in our home here in Perry. We were impressed with your knowledge about radon and your careful adherence to EPA standards. Your recommendations helped us to choose the best location for the installation which resulted in reducing radon in our home from 14 to 0.6! That is real success! We also appreciated your methods for the installation and how everything was cleaned up before you left. (and your bid was at least $300 less than the other bid we had) We went from being afraid to breathe in our home to peace of mind. Thanks so much for your good work!

Dear Mr. Hoaglin,
When my home was for sale earlier this year, I was surprised to find out during the course of the buyer’s home inspection that my home had a radon problem. I didn’t even know what radon was, but a bit of research really opened my eyes. It needed to be mitigated for our home sale to go through, but since it needed to be done right, both for my peace of mind and that of our home buyers, we wanted to find a certified professional to solve the issue for us.
After getting estimates from you and other certified mitigators, I was happy to say that not only was I the most impressed with you and your knowledge of radon and the construction needed to mitigate the problem, but your estimate was also the least expensive. It was a no-brainer to have you complete the work for us.
You completed the work quickly and professionally and, best of all, the end result had no negative impact on the beauty of our home as I had feared it might. You turned a potential deal-breaker in a home for sale into a selling point of our home, because now our house has a radon guarantee. We went from an average reading between 4 and 10 pCi/L to below 1.
Thank you, Bob, for doing such a fine job!
I wanted to thank you for the fine job you did installing a system that significantly reduced our Radon readings.
As you might recall, I had heard several public announcements about the potential hazards of radon. Late in 2007, I had called the state to learn more. I ordered two radon detection kits from the Utah state web site at www.utahsafetycouncil.org. The state told me that their kits were simple to use, were reasonably accurate and cost between $10 and $12 each. The reason I ordered two kits was because the state said that if there is an initial high reading, they almost always suggest a second test.
The first test results came back with a reading of 13. I am not sure just what that meant, however, the state said they suggest potential health problem issues if readings are above 4.0. We then ran the second test kit, leaving it in place for a few days longer than the first test. It came back with a reading of 23.
We then had you install your system and you also left an electronic radon monitoring machine which supposedly does a more accurate test than those from the state. After installation, the reading on your monitor showed a level of .5 (less than one and certainly much better than the 13 and 23 we had previously experienced).
We decided to use the state method a third time to see if the state test kit showed similar improvements. That test actually came back with a reading of .4.
Again, thank you for your help and efficient one day installation. In addition to the system doing the job, you also were very good about cleaning up and being sensitive to the entire process.
